PLCopen is an organization active in industrial control. It was founded in 1992 and has headquarters in the Netherlands, with supporting offices in the USA, Japan, and China. PLCopen is a vendor and product-independent worldwide association. Its mission is to be the leading association resolving topics related to control programming, to support the use of international standards in this field. One of the core activities of PLCopen is focused around IEC 61131-3, the only global standard for industrial control programming. It harmonizes the way people design and operate industrial controls by standardizing the programming interface.

PLCopen strongly supports the community of users. It shares with Itris Automation a mission to promote standards in the Programmable Logic Controllers market.

The Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) is a professional and global association, which gathers over 400 control systems integrator companies and suppliers of automated software tools. Its activities include certification, organizing events and establishing best practices, which are published in professional guides. Since 1994, the CSIA’s mission is to bring successful system integration to the marketplace by creating recognition and demand for CSIA certified members, improve system integration best practices and performance, and provide an industry forum and networking opportunities.

By joining the CSIA, Itris Automation aims to develop its network in the U.S. and benefit from the support of an expert organization to facilitate the distribution of its tools in this market.

The Club AUTOMATION is an association of automation engineers, embedded software developers, production and industrial engineering managers. Its aim is to promote the usage and the development of automation and industrial information management techniques. Several employees of Itris Automation are members of Club AUTOMATION. They take part in the animation of the community and share knowledge with their peers in the fields of automation and industrial control.

On November 22nd, 2011, Itris Automation attended a conference organized by the Club AUTOMATION (Paris). This day of information and debate focused on “Safe design applications”. Denis Chalon, CTO of Itris Automation, co-presented with Thierry Coq (Senior Consultant for DNV) on the theme “Quality Model for Industrial Automation”.

GRILOG (Grenoble Isère Logiciel) is an association of software professionals (ISVs, service and engineering houses, R&D labs, universities) based in Grenoble. Its aim is to develop the visibility of the software industry in Grenoble, build bridges between all actors, promote software jobs.

As a member of GRILOG, Itris Automation is particularly active in building relationships between the software industry and local authorities. Itris Automation also represents Grilog within the board of the Minalogic competitiveness cluster.

The MINALOGIC global competitiveness cluster fosters research-led innovation in intelligent miniaturized products and solutions for industry. Located in Grenoble, France, the cluster channels in a single physical location a range of highly-specialized skills and resources from knowledge creation to the development and production of intelligent miniaturized services for industry.

Itris Automation joined Minalogic in september 2008 and is part of the MIND collaborative R&D project, working on component-based software development and safety engineering applied to PLC programs. Itris Automation is also involved in the governance of the cluster: its President is a member of the “Cercle PME” (SMEs Club) and thus a non-voting member of the board of directors, supporting the successful involvement of SMEs in research projects alongside large companies and universities.

As part of its business support policy, the Rhône-Alpes region provides financial support in the form of grants to SMEs engaged in high-growth strategy for international expansion. Itris Automation benefits from the Rhône-Alpes region support in its international development. The company is a member of the “SME Plan”, a program developed by the region to encourage growth and business performance through training and coaching.

Itris Automation received in July 2013 the “Trophée Plan PME 2013 Rhône-Alpes” in the Commercial/International category. This award confirms the excellent cooperation and relations with teams that allow Itris Automation’s business development abroad (defining its export strategy, long-term perspective, support of experts, recruitment and training aid…). Since 2011, Itris Automation develops its sales particularly on the European, Asian and North American markets. As such, the company has strengthened its team with two business developers in charge of export.
